Announces support for projects that meet Triumph criteria for funding

PENSACOLA, FL-November 30, 2017-The Greater Pensacola Chamber of Commerce today announced that their board of directors voted to support four Triumph Gulf Coast proposals moving past the pre-application phase.  The four Triumph projects that the board voted to support moving forward are:

  • Northwest Center for Dynamic Ocean Technologies (CDOT), Port of Pensacola Warehouse 4
  • Escambia County School Board Workforce Development Program
  • University of West Florida Innovation Network Project
  • The Bluffs Corridor-Beck’s Lake Road Segment

“After thoroughly reviewing the projects submitted before the initial pre-application deadline, our board voted to support these four projects moving forward,” stated Chamber Board of Directors Chairman Steve Moorhead.  “We believe these projects meet the criteria set forth in the Triumph legislation and by the Triumph Gulf Coast Board of Directors to be considered for funding. The selected projects are transformative either in improving quality of life or creating jobs, both currently and in the future.”

The Chamber board analyzed each submitted project based on the Triumph legislation passed last session combined with priorities and criteria established by the Triumph Gulf Coast Board of Directors.  The Chamber will continue to analyze projects as they are submitted and move through the Triumph Gulf Coast project selection process.
