What is Leadership Pensacola?

A program of the Pensacola Bay Area Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Pensacola was created in 1982 to prepare participants to work effectively within the Pensacola Bay Area and to instill a sense of responsibility within the community. Over 1,200 LeaP Alumni work and volunteer in our community including company presidents and CEO’s, community organization directors, elected officials, and emerging corporate and community leaders.

Time Requirements/Curriculum

Applicants must be able to devote the second Thursday of each month to the program, an orientation, overnight trip to the state capital, weekend retreat and two Fridays for Opening and Closing retreats. The program sessions run from August through May. Class members develop and complete a class project which they identify to address a community need.

Tuition

Tuition is $1,100 for chamber members and $1,500 for non-members (to include 1 year chamber membership) and covers all cost for meals, course material, supplies, orientation and the retreat. Limited scholarships are available for those who need financial assistance.

Nominations

Self nominations are accepted. Complete the form below and return to the Pensacola Bay Area Chamber of Commerce by March 1. All nominees will be sent an application. There is no fee for nominations.

Application

Candidates are selected on their own merits from a written application. Applications must be completed and returned with a $25 non-refundable application fee by March 16. Fifty class members are chosen. Since the class is limited, the selection process is competitive.
